Main character reveal! or at least, Kicks is the main character for this introductory chapter.

​I read somewhere that one day we may culturally grow to view smart phones as a public eyesore, similar to smoking in public. I think that society has reshaped itself around the smartphone way too much for that to happen outside of a dedicated counter culture. I've wanted to go back to a flip phone for years now, but alas, I guess I'm not that dedicated. Maybe if I didn't need a smart phone for posting stuff online.​​

I gave her a flip phone because I thought it would be a nice bit of characterization and a fun prop to mess with. Namely, a flip phone is more fun to draw than a basic rectangle smartphone. ​
